For the 128th episode of Burning Platform, we host Dion Hinchcliffe, a repeat guest, now at Futurum Group. He summarizes results from a survey of CEOs and their perspectives on AI investments and related operating and change management models and practices
The survey conducted jointly with the management consulting firm, Kearney, built from over 30,000 data points from 213 CEOs (including in depth interviews with 20) across industries. The executive report is available for download by registering here.
Lots of interesting insights from Dion in the video below including this observation about governance
Dion and I cover wide ground beyond just the results of the survey. We discuss the need for use cases from operational areas – Cost of Goods sold, not just SG&A on the income statement. We discuss the impact of AI and worries of job losses. We discuss data breaches as folks try to beg, borrow or steal proprietary data like seismic data related to oil fields and molecular data related to pharmaceuticals (btw the theme of “who put our oil under their sand” is one of the many twists in our new fiction mystery, The AI Analyst. )
Very nicely done in 30 minutes.
