As we have moved to virtual briefings, I have increasingly been excerpting short video segments (with permission) as part of my Analyst Cam series.
This time it is Nasi Jazayeri, EVP and GM, Public Sector at Salesforce.
He summarizes the opportunity to dramatically improve citizen and small business experiences with government agencies. We often need to go to multiple sites and fill out multiple applications. There’s little transparency. What is the status of our application? You get a notification it was rejected but you have no idea why.
He shares results from their recently released Connected Government Report “which highlights survey results for how customers prefer to engage with public sector organizations and what factors drive customer satisfaction in a digital-first reality.” It also describes the need for trust, the poor CX and the lack of tools government employees have to help them do their jobs.
He covers some of the applications they have built for the Public Sector – some in the image below.
While their Public Sector scope is wider to include Federal agencies, he walks through 3 State level projects:
- New Mexico Regulation and Licensing
- New Mexico Human Resources
- Wyoming Department of Family Services
Very crisply done in under 20 minutes. And if you're interested in learning more about what Salesforce has planned for the Public Sector this Fall and beyond, be sure to tune into Dreamforce, Sept. 20-22, to watch live streaming sessions on Salesforce+ (many should also be available on-demand).
