CIOs thrive in times of change. They have been brought up in a technology world which disrupts itself and others on a regular basis. We are living in times of mega-change – nationalistic trends and related economic uncertainties across the world, digital disruption in most industries, cyber vulnerabilities growing on a daily basis. In this times of chaos, many CIOs are shining. For the first time in a decade, more than seven in ten CIOs (71 percent) believe the CIO role is becoming more strategic. 92 percent of CIOs joined a Board meeting in the past 12 months.
The survey is the largest IT leadership survey in the world in terms of number of respondents. It covered 4,498 CIOs across 86 countries with interviews between December 19, 2016 and April 3, 2017. The infograph covers some of the results. (click on image to enlarge)
