Some scenes that stood out for me from Sapphire:
1) New print and digital "Clear" campaign - but not TV in keeping with frugal budgets
2) Overwhelming focus on analytics. “Press conference” was more of another pitch on the Explorer – which brings together search, “guided analysis” and blazing speed
3) Dr. Plattner’s speech continued focus on analytics - the promise of “in-memory” and highly compressed data
4) Almost as much focus during conference on Sustainability
5) SAP’s answer to the iPhone App Store – not quite, but over 300 partner solutions in the EcoHub
6) Finally, a nagging reminder that not every SAP customer wants innovations. They want basic support at much lower cost. Rimini truck outside the conference.
