He is meeting bloggers again at Sapphire this evening. Last time we met it was lively to say the least. Oh, we could waste the session again with “Groundhog Day” questions in SAP world that seem to never go away – maintenance pushback (Rimini announced SAP third party maintenance this morning), ecosystem certification, BusinessByDesign rollout -among others.
I am hoping this time the conversation is more strategic. What does Oracle-Sun mean to the industry? What is SAP signaling as a signatory of IBM’s Open Cloud Manifesto? Is the recent Highdeal acquisition a sign of renewed vertical investment?
I am also going to keep trying to convince him to write a column in the hobby series. Let’s face it – he has a fascinating background. Has been to 80 countries, speaks 6 languages – as a start. There’s got to be better ways to spend 45 minutes than hear what he really thinks of Accenture:)
