Tommy Bahama shirts look and feel great. Even better when you get them as swag at a software conference.
They do need to be dry cleaned. Only recently did I happen to notice the POS configurator at the dry cleaner has a special entry for TBs. And an extra charge for the silk fabric. And an extra dollar for the white color.
So the cost is greater than for dry cleaning a complete suit. Cotton shirts, in contrast, are laundered at 1/6th the cost.
I guess even dry cleaners know about software TCO.
