AT&T is running commercials with Blake, chief “shoe giver” at Tom’s. His is a noble cause and the company has given out over 130,000 pairs to needy kids around the world.
But something gnawed at me seeing AT&T as his sponsor – even as I like the fact they are honoring him.
It costs more per minute to call back to the US ($ 2.29 from Philippines, $ 3.49 from Romania) or watch that video on AT&T’s network overseas than many kids around the world have to spend on shoes all year round.
I hope they are at least comping Blake his international roaming charges.
