In our industry known for disruption, I am constantly amused when market leaders are incredulous that a new player can deliver something cheaper, faster, better.
Having said that, there is something admirable about Intel. Its management tells its employees - no question, there is disruption coming. Your colleagues working on the next-gen chip in the conference room next door are already planning it.
A comment from an Intuit employee softens it a bit "We’d like to apologize to Mint.com if our letter came across as
anything but a simple request to understand how they count their users."
Somehow I doubt apologies will come forward in other instances where the emerging competition is compared to toys
