Oracle adds a new wrinkle to its On-Demand SaaS pricing - "The new ’standard’ single-tenancy option comes in at $90 per user per month. It’s still a dedicated server but, unlike the ‘enterprise’ option, Oracle decides when it gets patched and upgraded."
I would like Oracle and partners to similarly come close to matching with what I call SaCS pricing for its on-premise clients - to include maintenance, hosting, apps support, tuning, upgrades.
Also why stop at CRM? Why not ERP? Why not its vertical apps?
In typical Oracle fashion, though they cannot resist a dig at salesforce saying under some scenarios its pricing with frills balloons to $ 400 a user a month. Wow, those customers clearly have not heard of Deal Architect.
On the other hand, I can guarantee in almost every scenario Oracle's on-premise customer costs are more than $ 400 a user a month.
Oracle should focus on fixing that first.
