For 3 years now, HP has been telling the world about the great job CIO Randy Mott has done modernizing and consolidating applications and data centers. It is a very good story - and CEO Mark Hurd and Randy tell it often.
I have asked often though: when are we going to see comparable new age data centers and savings results not just at HP, but at its client locations.
So, yesterday Ann Livermore, who unlike Randy, has responsibility for external customers presented at Oracle OpenWorld. Disappointingly even she talked about the internal HP experience not that at customers.
