Most bloggers meet at conferences and then rarely get out of their hotels But a few of us broke the rule this weekend. David Terrar who was here for the Office 2.0 conference , Francine McKenna who will join me at the CFO Technology Summit, and I went to the stunning Chihuly exhibit in town.
I have seen individual Chihulys - at clients who commissioned his work. But to see his broader portfolio was just marvelous. Of course, analytical as we are questions like "how do they transport these fragile items around?" and "wonder how they did in last night's tremor?" came up.
The De Young Museum and its setting in the Golden Gate Park is stunning in its own right. And we took advantage of its proximity to the Bridge for a photo opp on a stunningly clear day with no fog anywhere. And its proximity to Sausalito to go have a Tequila Sunrise. To go with a stunning sunset.
We were a lot less analytical on the drive back - some things are just meant to be enjoyed.
