More "offers" from AT&T to its iPhone users
AT&T rolls out additional international data roaming plans - for 100mb at $ 120 (plus taxes) a month or 200 mb at $ 200 a month.
Previously, AT&T had a 20 mb for $ 25 and 50 mb for $ 60, so at least at 100mb there is really not much of a discount in the new offering.
Unless you are going on a vacation, the average international trip lasts 5 days - arrive at your destination on a Sunday, leave on a Friday. And unless you are a glutton for jet lag or are the Secretary of State, you do not average more than one international trip per month. So, the ideal billing consumption unit should be metered in weeks, not months
AT&T says you can cancel after a month, but it will not prorate by week. So, that already high iPhone TCO now goes up even more.
Let's just cry with Dean Martin:
"When the AT&T bill hits you eye like a big pizza pie
That's NOT amore!"
