Microsoft is maniacally focused on making (or at least declaring) Vista a success.
In the meantime, in the hot mobile market, Windows Mobile will fall short of its annual goal by 2 million units or 10%...it is striking that the iPhone, largely a US phenomenon till recently and just in its 2nd generation will next year likely eclipse WM volume - which is in its 7th generation, has been global much longer etc.You can argue Microsoft, unlike Apple, does not control the device manufacturers or their sales but that's the same with Vista.
But hey - clouds and mobility are a passing fad.. the desktop and Vista deserve a lot more attention.
