Way too much attention is going towards the new features - or lack there of - in the iPhone 3G.Tomorrow the media will be focused on lines in stores as early adopters do their high-fives. The less said about AT&T network speeds and coverage and pricing confusion the better (Larry Dignan reports only 35% of iPhone buyers will get it at the $ 199 price)
The real exciting thing about 3G is the App Store and now that Apple has lifted the moratorium on those announcements, announcements are flying in. Oracle announces Business Indicators. salesforce.com updates its mobile apps for the 3G. Newsgator announces NetNewsWire.
I checked the Store a few minutes ago - 540+ apps and games at launch. Pretty impressive.
