The New York Times quotes Mike Arrington and Paul Kedrosky about the pressures of blogging, in light of Om Malik's recent health problems. Most Enterprise Irregulars I know have 2 or 3 jobs - running their own consulting, software or other entrepreneurial businesses or working full time at a stressful job at a vendor or a fund - in addition to their blogging.
So I do not want to belittle the stress most professional bloggers face.
But let's put things in perspective. This guy had a stressful job cleaning high-rise windows. People who work in call centers and have to put up with complaints all the time. People in health care. Law enforcement. Sales folks and consultants who fly each week. More in this list here.
I sprained my foot last week. The flights I had to take were painful, made more so because the TSA pulled me out on one flight into a "special" line for added security. Doctor now tells me to avoid wearing leather shoes and avoid flying for a week.
You know what - I am actually enjoying the stress of blogging from a single location -)
