My initial reaction to the SAP features for iPhone was "it's limited and gimmicky" - I was looking for a broader mobility strategy from SAP.
But the more I think about it, I like the speed at which it was brought out - not the typical 5 year enterprise software development cycle. And that SAP "is breaking with precedent by introducing versions of the new software that are compatible with the iPhone ahead of ones for mobile devices that businesses traditionally use."
If SAP can start doing hundreds of little, even symbolic things like this, it will get into an innovation groove I think which has been missing in the enterprise software market for a while now...
