Most of what Thomas (who works for SAP, but is a fellow Irregular) describes would fail my MAGIC framework for innovation. To me, innovation is when you look at a business problem, then find the most appropriate technologies for it, do it intensely- so ridiculously low cost/high payback etc...not just sit and wait for years for a supermarket vendor to deliver and then take months to implement.
...but credit where it is due. Thomas does a great job with video clips, superb photos, links in describing what SAP calls innovation and it showcased somewhere in the two Sapphires in Atlanta and Vienna in the last month. Sets a benchmark for every other vendor on how to summarize and showcase a major conference or announcement.
Must read.
And disagree...especially if you are a slob who blogs in shorts while Thomas describes the latest in Windsor knots -)
