I wish Oracle executives would not have used the press release to brag so boldly. After all the 80% growth was on a base of just $ 127 m in application licenses in 1Q05.
The reality remains as Dave Stephens's analysis last quarter pointed out. Oracle has spent a lot of money on PeopleSoft, Siebel etc and still has a ways to go to overtake SAP.
