Enterprise 1.6
I was talking to Richard Young who helps edit the monthly column I have been writing for Real Finance magazine. Enterprise 2.0 came up and I described to him the concept. And his instant reaction - but if they do not fix all the other problems with 1.0 is it really not just 1.6?
Bingo. What I wrote about in the Bionic Enterprise 2.0. We have the opportunity to really fix Steve Austin, not just his nose.
Optimize carries a pro and con on Enterprise 2.0 Prof. McAfee at HBS and JP at Dresdner Kleinwort argue its merits
and Tom Davenport at Babson pooh poohs it.
All 3 real smart folks - but as Richard would say the problem is they are discussing Enterprise 1.6. I was talking to MR yesterday and he mentioned he was looking forward to more debate on this at the Enterprise conference coming up.
