I am quoted by a Chinese reporter in this article as saying ""when it comes to a number of manufactured products, China has done extremely well. When it comes to more 'white collar' products and services like software and outsourced services, its track record is less impressive."
But look at their growing strengths - penetration in sizable Japanese market, a disciplined approach to making up for the English language shortcoming, and lots of patience (and willingness to make acquisitions). Give them 3 more years and I believe they will be giving Indian vendors fits.
