For a while after reading all the web 2.0 posts and watching my daughter blog on myspace.com I was feeling my age ...but I am not close to being the world's oldest blogger. Meet Mildred (Millie) Garfield - at 80, she deserves the credit. As a fellow Floridian, she enjoyed my recent post on technology and archaeology and is looking forward to a trip next month to the King Tut exhibit in Fort Lauderdale.
I asked my mother-in-law, 81 who is over from Ireland if she wanted to blog (and become the oldest blogger).
Her response - why do you need to burn logs in the mild Florida winters? No Typepad gift card for her. Nice bottle of sherry...
Millie, enjoy the trip and the blogging experience.
Update: I have been pointed to a gentleman who just beats out Millie as the oldest blogger (that I know off) - age wise. Fair warning - his site is religious. I recognize him to show blogging is ageless, not to endorse his religious views. He blogs 2 limericks a day and has completed over a thousand so far. He plans to blog through the Holy Book in 4 years. That's blogging discipline!
