Rich Karlgaard of Forbes has a new book based on the premise that technology is "flattening" out advantage/disadvantages of where we live, so why not live where we can live richer?
Having lived in Tampa 15 years and gotten strange looks for that all these years, it is good to be validated. My canal front property would have cost me x times more in CA or the Northeast, and I am just 10 minutes from an airport consistently rated as one of the best in the country. Oh we could have a better baseball team, but we have not done too badly in many other areas.
Coming from Rich, long a Valley resident, it is quite a welcome change from the Californication attitude I had previously written about.
Of course, Rich is also telling me to think about something even cheaper and lifestyle-richer...I should look at some away from the hurricane track we have been having fun with the last few years...
