Most CIOs consolidated around a few major vendors for architectural and management efficiencies. Now with the M&A they are worried about "lock-in". I have heard a few recent conversations asking to dust off "change of control" clauses they were putting in to software contracts in the 90s when CA was on the prowl for acquisitions.
