Bill McDermott's deli experience
Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP America, has had a very successful technology career. But his first entrepreneurial experience was at a deli.
A partner of SAP in the SME market told me recently she had told her teenage daughter to go get a job at a deli and to apply Bill's customer service techniques he had as an enterprising 17 year old.
To me that is one of the highest compliments he can receive...
