While Workday and many of the talent management vendors get plenty of analyst attention and will get even more at Bill Kuitk’s HR Tech Show next week, it was good to see Oracle provide its HCM applications a separate track at Oracle OpenWorld.
Chris Leone, SVP of Product Development for the HCM cloud, showed off the impact of consumer, mobile and social technologies on his applications – the use of gamification, talent sourcing and video share apps for team building, recruiting and training. His keynote starting at 33:45 here is worth watching.
Several executives also played up HCM in their main tent keynotes, and Gretchen Alarcon did a very effective demo starting at 21:30 in the Kurian/Fowler keynote here.
More impressively, Fusion HCM now claims 300 customers, 100 of them live. Add to that Taleo’s 900 enterprise customers, and its on-premise PeopleSoft and other customers and you get a wide range as Chris showed in one of his slides captured below.
