Why tech commercials need “domestic content” disclosure
I would like to see how much Verizon technology is actually used in this firefighter app. The Golden-i headset is developed by Kopin. Blueforce Development has also been working with Verizon for various civic applications. So, beyond providing its network what exactly does Verizon do here?
In the commercial, the voice over calls them "Verizon Innovators"
Not just picking on Verizon. Cisco (as in commercial below), IBM, AT&T and others run similar commercials which take credit for lots more than I would say they bring to the table. I believe full disclosure of the technologies and vendors who provide them would be good practice.
