Remember the old story about the chicken and the pig at breakfast?
The chicken brags his kind “was involved” in breakfast because they laid the eggs. To which the pig responds his kind “was committed” to delivering the bacon.
I see a number of ERP companies brag about “being involved” in sustainability efforts as they help account for carbon or help in compliance with regulations.
So I am pleased to see NetSuite report it was “committed” in not just reporting, but actually helping customers reduce carbon emissions.
- With more than 6,000 customer companies sharing datacenter resources, NetSuite's platform saved more than $61 million in energy bills per year
- These savings amount to nearly 595 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually, the equivalent of nearly 423,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year
- This is equivalent to nearly 1 million barrels of oil or the average electricity consumption of 56,000 homes per year.
