From two sources – GigaOm and in a still embargoed discussion with another vendor – I have now heard about CSC’s cloud intentions.
Some intriguing features – may be built on Cisco’s new Unified Computing platform and given CSC’s large Federal Business should emphasize security and data location visibility.
But I will continue to be cautious because there is too much traditional outsourcing talk : “pricing will be ..announced in the next few months” and “(it will) continue providing its managed hosting business”. Likely too much customization of client proposals and offerings.
As with AT&T and EMC’s recent cloud announcements, I hope CSC does not fail many “It is not a cloud if …” filters.
