Poor Chrysler. It spends plenty on a "Thank You, America" ad after the recent bailout loans were approved and its blog is flooded with comments such as
"You took my hard earned tax dollars without congressional approval. This is not the time for a "thank you." This would be a good time for a refund...and an apology. "
"Your resignation and the resignations of senior executives who have mismanaged the business would have been much more appropriate. "
"...thanking Americans for stealing their money is NOT something to boast about on your website. The American public DID speak when we choose to NOT buy your cars.
Ouch.
It should have instead run a "Screw You, America" ad (click on ad to read the funny print). Then the comments would likely have been fabulous. You know, blog readers are like teenagers ...you have to tell them the opposite of what you want done:)
For the record, we have had Chrysler minivans for 16 years now. So, we still have a soft spot for the company ...honestly though, every time I take the car in for service I check out the new offerings, and there is very little that stands out. Consumer Reports rated 4 Chrysler products as its worst 10 cars, and none of its products in its top 10 in its 2008 survey.
