It caught my attention that my friends at Intacct have been signing up NetSuite resellers at a rapid clip - 7 of the top 10 NetSuite producing partners. So I asked them why the NetSuite focus?
a) The accounting pedigree of those resellers clearly helps and b) many NetSuite resellers find their product is a useful entry point into salesforce customers looking for accounting (in particular the quote to cash process) functionality. Intacct has been a successful salesforce partner for a while.
I also notice Google is turning to resellers to move its Apps. As the article quotes ""Relative to companies like Microsoft, they're way behind in that (reseller) area."
But selling the product at 20% of list to resellers will quickly offset any inexperience :)
