Absolut Fusion?
Eagle eye Anshu Sharma suggests Larry Ellison was sending us a subliminal message about the elusive Fusion applications when he went on a rant about cloud computing and SaaS this week.
Anshu substituted Fusion for Cloud Computing in Larry's quote to see the effect ...
"The interesting thing about Fusion is that we've redefined Fusion to include everything that we already do. I can't think of anything that isn't Fusion with all of these announcements. The computer industry is the only industry that is more fashion-driven than women's fashion. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I have no idea what anyone is talking about. What is it? It's complete gibberish. It's insane. When is this idiocy going to stop?"
"We'll make Fusion announcements. I'm not going to fight this thing. But I don't understand what we would do differently in the light of Fusion other than change the wording of some of our ads. That's my view."
Silly me - speculating about silly unicorns :)

As I mentioned in my blog, its a 'thought experiment' to substitute Fusion for Cloud Computing - so the words in italics have been substituted (made very very clear in my blog post.)

wow,
this is really an attack from behind. Oracle has been treated very graciously by the markets and buying companies left and right has served it well. to succeed, fusion needs to happen, hopefully sooner rather than later...

GM, attack by who? If you mean Larry, want to clarify - he was talking about Cloud Computing not Fusion. Anshu jokingly substituted Fusion to see the effect - and I turned it into a further humorous post ...
