During the SAP SME session this week there were some light moments about a focus on the fast growing vertical of ethnic groceries.
And some light moments during the breaks on why certain ethnic groups seems to cluster in specific occupations such as:
- Vietnamese nail salons
- Bangladeshi franchisees of Dunkin Donuts
- The "Patel motels" across the US - run by East African Asian immigrants
- West African street vendors in New York and Washington (and not all sell fake Rolexes)
- Polish "plumbers" who have spread across the EU with their handy skills
- Korean laundries across the US
