Look at the comments at Eric Savitz's live blogging from Steve Jobs' speech. People just impatient to hear about 3G and other iPhone features. Larry Dignan says "Apple is killing bloggers who only want to hear about the 3G iPhone"
I am glad Steve made them wait and instead talked about the enterprise beta program. "35 percent of the Fortune 500 has participated in the iPhone 2.0 beta program. The top 5 banks, the top 5 securities firms, 6 or 7 top airlines and other industries such as entertainment and pharmaceuticals."
Better, more secure support for corporate email. MS Office document read capabilities. Several new verticals apps. Typepad. Whole SDK ecosystem. Software distribution capabilities. Support for several Asian language scripts. GPS facilitating location aware services. Stacey at GigaOm has fuller list of applications.
Longer battery than other 3G Phones. 3G 36% quicker than other phones. Much cheaper than other PDAs Only $ 199 for the 8gb memory!
Oh and BTW - whole bunch of new games, video, fun stuff.
WOW! What's there not to like?
I can think of only two off the top of my head - neither to do with Apple.
AT&T TCO and AT&T 3G availability
If AT&T (and its other partners around world) can similarly delight as Steve has, it will make the first iPhone launch look amateurish - and many consider that the most successful product launch ever.
