How about an AccessoryPortability.Org?

How ironic is it that the Bluetooth standard is named after a 10th century Danish king who brought several warring tribes together?

John Sun's post about Samsung not standardizing power accessories around its own phones brings the issue of war and chaos out nicely. Then throw in the variety if your company or family has Nokias, iPhones, HTCs.

Not just power cords, think wired ear phones (2.5 mm ones which work with home mobiles, versus those that work on some cell phones,  3.5 mm ones, newer ones via USB like my AT&T Tilt requires) , SD cards (micro, mini),  USB cables (with different connector types) and versions (3.0 out soon) , bluetooth devices and versions (version 3.0 also being worked on). And the less we say about battery inconsistency the better.

And then you have laptop power cords, different batteries, more USB cables...

Nice that folks are working on Data Portability. Can we please also get some relief from accessory clutter?
