25 years later...

Gripping article in The Daily Mail

"The year was 1983 and - as a history documentary in a primetime slot on Channel 4 next weekend vividly shows - the next six weeks would be the most dangerous the world has ever experienced."

25 years later, reading of this blogger arrested in Saudi Arabia, I get goose bumps.   

End of September 1983, the same time as the article describes the false nuclear alarm, I was on my way to a 2 year assignment in Saudi Arabia. Oblivious to the dangers the world faced.

Different times, different dangers. Hopefully, we still have cool heads who can tell false alarms from real ones.
