BBWA@OOW

Apologies to Tom Peters, but I have been Blogging by Walking Around at Oracle OpenWorld. The conference is intimidating in terms of choice of sessions and exhibits and as I fretted before Oracle did not have a clear agenda for bloggers. On the other hand, this openness has allowed us to go to a number of keynotes and specific sessions we wanted to. It has given me a chance to spend time with several Enterprise Irregulars, meet other Oracle bloggers like Eddie Awad and industry analysts, meet Oracle customers and partners, and off campus meet some Oracle third party maintenance providers and competitors.

I want to join Jeff Nolan in thanking Karen Tillman and Bob Wynne of Oracle PR and Jake Kuramoto for facilitating EI participation. I want to also thank Charles Phillips for meeting with us to kick  off the conference participation. Wish we had more time with him but appreciate the start of the conversation. Hopefully we can build on this in future conferences.

So with all this walking around where are the blogs? I planned to blog each evening, but now want to wait and synthesize various perspectives I continue to pick up - Oracle and external, some strictly slideware, others refreshingly candid.

Hope to do so Friday in posts starting Thursday.
