"Must See" Conference

Put this on your calendars - May 7-9 Sandhill conference in San Jose.

Hasso Plattner kicks it off. Marc Benioff will be there. Steve Ballmer will be there. Oracle will not be there to defend itself. MR (the event organizer) told me their executives begged off since May is the end of their fiscal year. Meanwhile in a track nearby that I am hosting, I am sure CIOs will have interesting things to say about each of these vendors. Several Irregulars will be running a panel. There are sessions from Enterprise 2.0 to virtualization.

It usually is a great place to network. Come meet the blogging contingent and well, ok, also listen to the big guys...

And don't forget to attend the "Global Innovation Panel." I'm representing China in a China vs. India vs. a few other countries that don't matter debate. (Just kidding about "a few other countries that don't matter"; actually, those countries play at a different, higher level than China.)

Should be a blast. I plan to add my usual controversy to the subject. See my latest Sand Hill Group "Letter from China" column for a taste: http://www.sandhill.com/opinion/daily_blog.php?id=52

In cooperation with China's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), we'll also have a small China Showcase at SOFTWARE 2007, with a full-fledged Pavilion planned for next year.

David, look forward to seeing you...
