Private equity in software

Couple of weeks ago someone asked me what I thought of Chuck Phillips' private equity fund. It took me a full 30 seconds before I finally caught on what my colleague was saying. Today that fund invested in Hyperion. And there were rumors that Silver Lake was interested in a stake in SAP.

More signs the enterprise software market is boring and mature. As I said before SAP-Ora-fic.
