Dennis Howlett weighs in on the SAP white paper about "entitlements" around enterprise software I wrote about last week. So does David Terrar
They write from Europe. From Asia, there is a similar perspective from Sadagopan.
SAP is intellectually honest enough to have started the TCO and "entitlements" discussion with its white paper. Hopefully, it will now follow through in practice. The time is right for a TomorrowNow offering for its own customer base. The time is right to corral its consulting partners and its own consulting groups to drastically lower cost of implementations. Its time to make upgrades non-events. It has been right for a while. Around the world.
